16cm² die cutter boards

PEM components 16cm² die cutter boards are high quality dies for cutting out 16cm² borders. Die cutting saves the user valuable time in preparing materials for MEA´s as well as it enhances reproducibility of experiments.

In order to operate a die cutter board a press, die cutting machine or another heavy impulse weight is required. the principle of die cutting rests or knives being positioned within a wood board and a foam material. By compressing the foam material the knives make contact with the substrate, cutting through the substrate material. Upon decompressing the foam material will push the slitted substrate out, leaving an exact cut out substrate and the rest of substrate material.
