10cm² surface area is ideal for low cost evaluation experiments or new types of catalyst or membranes. It is typically used within academia or R&D labs as a mean for screening activity a range of newly made materials. Upon a positive result, usually a larger area test (25cm² or larger) will be initiated.
This PTL material is suited for water electrolysis, electrochemical hydrogen compression and purification. The dimensions are 45mm by 22.3mm with rounded off edges (R2). This PTL is used on the anode of the 10cm² electrolysis cell of LEANCAT™.
