Electrochemical Hydrogen Compressor (16cm²)

Proton Technologies 16cm² electrochemical hydrogen compressor is a basic single cell electrochemical hydrogen compressor capable of compressing hydrogen up to 1000 bar(g). The 16cm² EHC is simple and easy to use for mainly R&D purposes. Depending on the used Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) and operational settings, the compressor can achieve pump rates anywhere in between 1ml∙min^-1 up to 500ml∙min^-1 at any pressure.

Its single cell design with 16cm² of active surface area allows operators to achieve high pressure differences within an acceptable timeframe, whilst maintaining an economical sense. It is developed for catalyst, membrane, component and high pressure hydrogen evaluation.
